NAVER CLOUD (CEO Kim Yu-won) has enhanced its business tool, NAVER WORKS, by integrating “HyperCLOVA X,” transforming it into an artificial intelligence (AI)–powered workplace collaboration tool. The company has also made core features such as approval, attendance, payroll, and finance modular, simplifying access to essential support features for businesses.
NAVER CLOUD plans to boost work productivity through generative AI by incorporating CLOVA Note for businesses and continually adding essential services to establish itself as a leading platform for streamlined collaboration.
This update notably features the integration of the hyperscale AI “HyperCLOVA X” into NAVER WORKS, equipping it with practical AI features like email summarization, unread message summarization, and email prompt creation, which includes adjusting email length, grammar, writing style, and translation.
By clicking the summarize button in the email interface, users can condense lengthy emails into bullet points and categorize them into recent and older ones, making them easier to find and helping maintain work continuity. When unread messages exceed a set number, a pop-up appears in the chat room to summarize the unread content.
The email prompt feature allows users to check their spelling and adjust the tone of emails to be more formal or friendly. In addition, the “Suggested Replies” feature offers responses after analyzing received emails, expediting the workflow.
Management support features such as approval, attendance, payroll, and finance are available in modular formats, enabling businesses to select the options that best suit their needs. With a single login in one app, users can access both collaboration and management support features. As various functions are smoothly integrated, for example, a paid time off request submission updates the calendar automatically with the time off schedule, the hassle of using separate solutions for each function is also eliminated.
NAVER CLOUD is also preparing to launch a corporate version of “CLOVA Note,” an AI-driven meeting minute tool, later this year. This version will offer improved security measures, including login via company email, two-factor authentication, and device access control. Moreover, the release will expand collaborative functionalities, such as collective management of meeting minutes in group spaces and compatibility with video call systems.
Kim Hyo, Executive Director for Global SaaS at NAVER CLOUD, highlighted the trend of incorporating AI into workplace collaboration tools to enhance work productivity and creativity, driven by global demand and growing customer needs. He emphasized the company’s commitment to continuously adapting and enhancing features based on customer feedback and exploring integrations with other solutions to solidify its status as a premier business collaboration platform.
