TEAM NAVER will participate in the global IT exhibition “LEAP 2025,” known as the “Saudi CES,” to showcase its AI solutions designed to deeply understand Saudi Arabia’s unique culture and language, along with its data center, cloud infrastructure, and AI models that make this possible.
Following its participation in LEAP 2024, where it signed MOUs with Aramco Digital and Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO), TEAM NAVER has strengthened its foothold in the Middle Eastern market. This year, TEAM NAVER will take a step further and introduce its AI value chain, which seamlessly connects data centers, cloud services, and AI models, under the theme “AI for Saudi Arabia, Powered by NAVER.”
A key presentation, “NAVER AI Value Chain Preserving Digital Heritage,” will emphasize the importance of sovereign AI in safeguarding Saudi Arabia’s cultural identity. The presentation will highlight risks associated with AI trained on inaccurate data, such as mistakenly classifying Saudi Arabia’s traditional coffee as a generic Middle Eastern beverage or misidentifying “Mada’in Saleh,” a significant Saudi cultural heritage site, as “Petra” in Jordan. Leveraging its experience as the world’s third company to develop a native language–based large language model (LLM), TEAM NAVER will propose an AI development approach that fully respects Saudi Arabia’s linguistic and cultural uniqueness.
In addition, TEAM NAVER will showcase real-world implementations of its AI value chain, demonstrating AI services that have been launched in Korea or are in the process of commercialization. These include: AI tutor, Which provides personalized learning support and real-time; AI voice electronic medical record (EMR), an automated medical transcription tool that converts patient conversations into text-based medical records, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on treatment; Media AI, which automates video scene searches; and NAVER WORKS, a collaboration tool powered by HyperCLOVA X, designed to enhance work efficiency through AI-assisted email composition, summarization, and translation. These applications demonstrate NAVER’s AI localization potential in Saudi Arabia across four key industries: education, healthcare, media, and business productivity.
Furthermore, TEAM NAVER will present a physical model of its AI value chain’s core infrastructure. The exhibition will feature components of “GAK,” NAVER’s world-class eco-friendly data center, including servers, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), emergency generators, air conditioning systems, and the robot “Garo,” introducing NAVER’s proprietary data center infrastructure and operational technology. NAVER will also showcase its “Neurocloud” hybrid cloud service and a digital twin model of the city of Medina, highlighting its advanced digital spatial technology.
Kim Yu-won, CEO of NAVER Cloud, commented, “TEAM NAVER has actively participated in major Saudi exhibitions such as LEAP and Cityscape, demonstrating our unmatched technological capabilities and strengthening local partnerships. We will continue to respect and integrate diverse cultural identities through our AI technology, further solidifying our global market presence.”
Meanwhile, LEAP 2025, the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, is organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). The event will take place in Riyadh from February 9 to 12 (local time), featuring over 680 startups, 1,000 speakers, and 1,800 technology brands. </End>
