[※] The event, which ran from March 4 to 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is recognized as the country’s leading tech event. It is organized by the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). With last year’s event attracting over 172,000 visitors and featuring more than 1,800 exhibitors from across the globe, the expo has rapidly become a significant worldwide gathering, prominent not only in the Middle East.
At the exhibition, TEAM NAVER stood among leading global tech companies, including Google, Apple, Meta, and IBM, within the main exhibition space known as the Big Tech Hall. Operating under the concept of being a “Global Tech Convergence Company,” TEAM NAVER’s exhibit drew the attention of approximately 10,000 international visitors over the course of four days.
On March 5, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, accompanied by Korea’s Minister of the Interior and Safety, Lee Sang-min, made a notable visit to TEAM NAVER’s booth. Reflecting on his visit to NAVER’s 1784 building in October of the previous year, Minister Alswaha expressed his admiration, stating, “TEAM NAVER possesses all the necessary technologies. I look forward to these outstanding technologies opening up numerous business opportunities in Saudi Arabia.”

There was a strong interest in TEAM NAVER’s technologies, including generative AI “HyperCLOVA X,” cloud solutions, robotics, autonomous driving, digital twins, the tech convergence building “1784,” and hyperscale data center “Gak Sejong.”
Throughout the event, TEAM NAVER underscored its technological leadership by signing two significant MOUs. A partnership agreement was concluded with Aramco Digital on March 6, aiming to drive digital innovation throughout the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia. On March 7, an agreement with the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) was made to develop a smart transportation system. In addition, the company conducted over 800 immediate consultations with representatives from the global tech industry who were keen to learn more about TEAM NAVER’s technological advancements.
The keynote presentation by Seok Sang-ok, CEO of NAVER LABS, which unveiled a vision for smart cities powered by TEAM NAVER’s technologies, received enthusiastic feedback. In this session, TEAM NAVER introduced “ARC mind,” a pioneering robot operating system based on web platform, showcasing their advanced technological prowess to attendees. “ARC mind” is a culmination of NAVER’s extensive experience in web platforms and robotics software technologies.
Kim Yu-won, CEO of NAVER CLOUD, stated, “The innovative technology of TEAM NAVER attracted significant interest from international tech leaders at LEAP 2024.
