After Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visit to NAVER 1784 signals growing interest in NAVER in the Middle East.
On November 8, a delegation of around 10, led by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, visited NAVER 1784. Their goal was to explore the potential use of NAVER’s cutting-edge technologies—digital twins, robotics, sovereign cloud, and generative AI—for the digital transformation of the UAE.

The visit included Chae Seon-ju, President of NAVER’s ESG and External Policy, Seok Sang-ok, CEO of NAVER LABS, and Kim Yu-won, CEO of NAVER CLOUD. This marks the sixth interaction between NAVER and key UAE figures. Apart from Chae Seon-ju’s trip to the UAE with the Korean economic delegation in January, all the other interactions involved direct visits to NAVER 1784.
Following the visit to NAVER 1784 of the UAE Ambassador to Korea in March, high-ranking representatives from the Sharjah royal family, including Crown Prince Sheikh Saud Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, visited in June. The goal of the visit was to explore cooperation opportunities with Korea in relation to Sharjah’s national digital innovation and infrastructure development. Notably, HH Sheikh Saud Sultan also serves as the director of the Sharjah Digital Office (SDO).

In September, Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), visited NAVER 1784. With the goal of positioning Dubai as a leading city in future developments and an innovation and technology hub, the Foundation expressed a keen interest in advanced technologies like AI and robotics. During the visit, they experienced the sophisticated technologies at NAVER 1784 firsthand and discussed potential collaboration with the company.
Notably, NAVER recently secured a contract from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) for constructing digital twin platforms in five cities, including Riyadh.
