Michelle Donelan, the United Kingdom (UK) Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, visited NAVER 1784, recognized as a tech convergence space and the world’s first robot-friendly building.
Secretary Donelan, in Korea for the “AI Seoul Summit” happening on May 21, visited NAVER 1784 before the summit to experience firsthand the integration of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, autonomous driving, cloud computing, digital twins, and 5G. Key NAVER personnel were in attendance, including NEVER CEO Choi Soo-yeon, NAVER CLOUD CEO Kim Yu-won, NAVER LABS CEO Seok Sang-ok, and Executive Director of the NAVER CLOUD AI Innovation Center Ha Jung-woo.
Furthermore, NAVER is actively involved in creating a secure and sustainable AI ecosystem. NAVER has garnered noteworthy achievements at premier global AI conferences through collaborations with leading research institutions both domestically and internationally. In addition, it runs an AI ethics advisory process to incorporate social perspectives into the deployment of AI services and oversees a “Red Team” dedicated to enhancing the safety of state-of-the-art generative AI technologies.
