NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) officially launched the AI-powered meeting minutes tool “CLOVA Note” on November 6, alongside recent updates.
CLOVA Note utilizes various NAVER technologies, including voice recognition and natural language processing. CLOVA Note was initially introduced in 2020 as an “AI Voice Transcription” service, powered by its own voice recognition engine proficient at transcribing lengthy and unstructured sentences, along with speaker diarization technology to distinguish between different speakers. CLOVA Note has now transformed into an “AI meeting minutes management tool” with increased practicality in the work environment, incorporating features such as summarizing meeting minutes using the hyperscale AI “HyperCLOVA,” as well as note-sharing, highlighting, and memo-taking.
Furthermore, the latest update introduces AI features that can organize primary topics based on meeting or conversation content and suggest follow-up actions, enhancing its utility as a business tool. Imagine a meeting covering diverse topics, from planning and executing a customer satisfaction survey to applying collected data. Using the AI summarizing feature, CLOVA Note can highlight key points such as “scheduled the survey” and “incorporated feedback into the survey content.” It also suggests follow-up actions such as “develop survey questions” and “design survey visuals.” The updated version retains the ability to summarize key meeting points with subheadings concisely for clarity.
In addition, the official release provides features for directly recording meetings with CLOVA Note and taking notes on important content during recording, accessible on both PC and mobile app. Organizing notes is made easier with added features, allowing users to view generated notes by date and sort shared notes by folder.
NAVER intends to gradually introduce a range of service plans with the official release of CLOVA Note. Han Ik-sang, an executive director at NAVER CLOUD who leads CLOVA Note, stated, “In response to diverse user needs, we are developing service plans tailored for individual and business users. We aim to enhance features crucial for collaborative work, such as task management, commenting, and co-editing, and continuously improve user convenience through the hyperscale language model.” He also emphasized CLOVA Note’s vision as a productivity tool, highlighting potential integrations with the business collaboration tool NAVER Works.
During the promotional period, users of the official version of CLOVA Note will receive up to 600 minutes of free use per month. Even after exhausting this allocated time, they can still convert recordings from the CLOVA Note app or the desktop web version without limitations.
