NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon; www.navercorp.com) announced that it posted revenue of KRW 3.3888 trillion and operating profit of KRW 520.3 billion in the second quarter of 2026.
Second-quarter consolidated operating revenue rose 16.2% year over year to KRW 3.3888 trillion, driven by solid performance in core businesses such as advertising and commerce, supported by greater AI integration, as well as growth in the global C2C business. Consolidated operating profit decreased 0.2% year over year to KRW 520.3 billion, reflecting investments in AI infrastructure and other factors.
By business segment, revenue was ▲KRW 1.9022 trillion for NAVER Platform, ▲KRW 470.7 billion for Financial Platform, and ▲KRW 1.0159 trillion for Global Initiatives.
NAVER Platform revenue increased 12.3% year over year and 3.4% quarter over quarter to KRW 1.9022 trillion. Advertising revenue increased 7.5% year over year, supported by AI-based ad inventory optimization and enhanced targeting, with AI accounting for more than 60% of revenue growth. In particular, AI Briefing ads, officially launched in late July, are demonstrating the potential of generative AI services as a new advertising revenue stream, with click conversion rates more than 30% higher and purchase conversion rates more than three times those of existing Search Ads. Service revenue increased 31.3% year over year as enhancements to NAVER Plus Store, membership, and N Delivery accelerated growth in the commerce ecosystem.
Financial Platform revenue increased 16.0% year over year and 2.4% quarter over quarter to KRW 470.7 billion. Npay payment volume reached KRW 25.2 trillion in the second quarter, up 21.0% year over year, supported by growth in Smart Store and the continued expansion of the external ecosystem. With the rapid expansion of its integrated offline terminal, Npay Connect, NAVER has made a full-scale entry into the AI platform business for merchants and plans to integrate online and offline data to strengthen competitiveness across the NAVER ecosystem and create new monetization opportunities.
Global Initiatives revenue increased 24.4% year over year and 7.9% quarter over quarter to KRW 1.0159 trillion, driven by growth in the C2C business. C2C revenue increased 74.9% year over year and 13.3% quarter over quarter, as stronger competitiveness at Wallapop, Poshmark, and SODA supported continued growth in transaction volume and revenue. Content revenue increased 0.5% year over year and 5.5% quarter over quarter. Enterprise revenue increased 21.3% year over year and 2.2% quarter over quarter, supported by growth in B2B revenue related to AI and digital twin.
Meanwhile, NAVER’s AI factory business with NVIDIA is expected to begin generating revenue in the first half of next year.
