NAVER and Spotify Form a Strategic Partnership to Diversify the User Audio Experience

NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) and Spotify, the global audio and subscription-based streaming platform, have entered a strategic collaboration to expand user access to diverse audio content, from music to podcasts, across NAVER’s ecosystem.
To this end, Lee Jae-hoo, Head of the NAVER App Service Division, met with Gautam Talwar, General Manager of Spotify Asia Pacific, at NAVER 1784 today to discuss ways the two companies can create synergies between their respective services and content.
Through this partnership, the two companies plan to integrate NAVER’s diverse services with Spotify’s extensive library of over 100 million tracks and approximately 7 million podcasts. This collaboration will make it easier for users to discover and enjoy music and audio content that suits their moods, preferences, and situations.
Lee Jae-hoo, Division Head of NAVER App Services, commented, “We expect this collaboration with Spotify will allow users to more easily discover and enjoy audio content that aligns with their tastes, moods, and situations.” He added, “Furthermore, we will strengthen the synergy between the two companies, enabling users to experience and enjoy music and podcasts in more diverse ways.”
Gautam Talwar, General Manager of Spotify Asia Pacific, said, “Since launching in Korea, Spotify has been connecting fans with the music and artists they love through world-class personalization and recommendation features.” He continued, “Through this collaboration, we aim to help even more listeners easily discover music that fits their moments and emotions.”
