NAVER Pay (CEO Park Sangjin) announced on 20th, the launch of the “Real Estate VR Property and Complex Tour” service, which allows users to experience apartment properties and complexes in virtual reality (VR).
The NAVER Pay “Real Estate VR Listing Tour” enables users to freely explore the interiors of apartment complexes and listings by replicating these spaces online with 3D digital twin technology, creating a “realistic online tour” on NAVER Pay Real Estate. The service is distinguished by its ability to let users explore every corner of apartment complexes and properties, realistically rendered in 3D, as if they were actually physically walking through them. It also allows users to check specific information online that previously required an on-site visit, such as the exact amount of sunlight by season and time of day, as well as detailed measurements of various parts of the apartment.
The core technology behind the realistic replication of apartment complexes and interiors is ALIKE, a digital twin solution developed by NAVER LABS, NAVER’s Research and Development subsidiary focused on future technology. ALIKE’s digital twin solution incorporates various mapping devices, including drones and 360-degree cameras; artificial intelligence technology that converts 2D images into 3D models; and fast, reliable cloud processing. This combination allows users to quickly and accurately recreate vast spaces, from individual rooms to entire complexes, enabling them to experience the precise height of buildings, changes in sunlight, the texture of exterior walls, and the depth of interior spaces. The “ALIKE” solution is currently being used in major cities and large-scale complex spaces in Seoul, the National Museum of Korea, and to establish a digital twin platform in Saudi Arabia.

The Virtual Reality Property Tour utilizes spatial data captured by 360-degree cameras to provide a highly realistic 3D view of the property. With a panoramic view, the user can not only experience the surroundings realistically but also measure the dimensions of the desired space as if using a tape measure on site. The user can check the detailed area information, floor height, dimensions of the interior structure, and even depth perception by space. This can also be expanded to include various services, such as simulating furniture placement. The apartment’s floor plan is also rendered in 3D, allowing users to grasp the overall structure of the interior space in three dimensions.
The Virtual Reality Complex Tour employs technology that stitches together large-scale, high-resolution 2D images captured by drones and converts them into 3D models using artificial intelligence. The shape and height of the buildings, the texture of exterior walls, and all the facilities within the apartment complex—such as parking lots, playgrounds, parks, walking paths, community centers, and shops—are realistically reproduced. Users can also view sunlight exposure on each building floor in the complex from different angles and at various times of the day and season. The service is linked to the property information of the complex registered on NAVER Pay Real Estate, allowing users to check the properties listed for sale or rent by apartment building directly during the VR Complex Tour.
Complexes and properties that offer the Virtual Reality tour feature can be found directly on the property map and complex/property page of NAVER Pay Real Estate, and are accessible on both mobile and PC versions. For complexes with Virtual Reality tours, users can find them highlighted on NAVER Pay Real Estate’s “Home” section. Currently, five apartment complexes in Seoul and the Capital Area, including Seoul Helio City, Godeok Glassium, DMC Raemian e-Comfortable World, Seongnam Bundang Park View, and e-Comfortable World Bupyeong Grand Hills, are available for Virtual Reality tours. There are also over 50 apartment listings in the Capital Area available for VR exploration. The company plans to expand the number of Virtual Reality Complex Tours to 30 by the end of the year and increase the average number of new listings per month for Virtual Reality Property Tours to 1000.
Go Kang Jin, Leader of NAVER Pay Real Estate, stated, “The ‘VR Property Tour’ service utilizes ALIKE, the world’s most advanced digital twin technology, to provide users with the most realistic ‘online listing’ experience.” She also mentioned, “We will actively expand the complexes and properties where VR tours are available and collaborate with real estate affiliates and brokers to ensure that high-quality real estate information is provided through VR tours.”
