NAVER Unveils Its Service Lineup Powered by “HyperCLOVA X,” Marking Hyperscale AI Ecosystem Expansion

- Starting with the release of the advanced hyperscale AI “HyperCLOVA X” in August, various applications targeting both individual users and businesses will be unveiled by year-end
- Among these services include the conversational agent “Clova X” and the generative AI search service “Cue:” as well as the tools for creators, small and medium enterprises (SMEs)

NAVER announced its AI service lineup, leveraging its cutting-edge self-developed hyperscale AI, “HyperCLOVA X,” set to debut in August. NAVER also provided the release schedule for later this year, signifying its expansion of the hyperscale AI ecosystem.

NAVER announced its plans to launch a range of applications targeting general users and businesses through its technology channel, “Channel Tech." In August, the upgraded version of “HyperCLOVA,” “HyperCLOVA X,” will be unveiled, along with a beta of the conversational agent “CLOVA X.” In addition to answering questions, Clova X utilizes its outstanding writing capabilities such as generation and summarization to serve as a personal productivity tool. Furthermore, it allows for integrating various services as plug-ins, enabling the utilization of required functionalities. The plug-in ecosystem of CLOVA X will expand along with the service enhancements.

 

In September, a beta of the generative AI-based search service, “Cue:” will be introduced. Cue:, utilizing HyperCLOVA X as its backbone, will offer a unique search experience based on NAVER’s high-quality content. Its core ability is to understand longer queries with complex intentions and plan search processes accordingly. It then generates comprehensive search results by utilizing up-to-date and reliable information. Moreover, it is expected to extend its integration with various NAVER services, enabling users to quickly achieve their goals through Cue:, such as shopping or making reservations. Cue: will also be partially applied to NAVER search within the year, starting with a beta.

 

HyperCLOVA X will also be applied to tools for creators and SME partners active on NAVER’s platform. Initially, a new version of the writing tool, combining HyperCLOVA X with NAVER’s content creation tool “Smart Editor,” will be provided to select blog creators starting in September, and the service will be improved and gradually extended to more creators. The tool recommends useful writing topics and writes a draft based on selected keywords or assists users in editing their writing. Moreover, NAVER is considering creating various AI solutions to enhance SME productivity. As HyperCLOVA is already being used in multiple solutions supporting SME growth by writing marketing copies and automating customer services, HyperCLOVA X is expected to offer even more advanced solutions.

 

In October, NAVER will start expanding its B2B market presence. NAVER will pre-release the HyperCLOVA X-equipped version of the hyperscale AI tool, CLOVA Studio, available in NAVER Cloud Platform, to select companies in August, with an official release scheduled in October. Businesses can integrate their data with HyperCLOVA X to build their own productivity tools or create custom AI services. 

 

Furthermore, “Neurocloud for HyperCLOVA X,” which provides more robust security for businesses utilizing generative AI-based services, will also be introduced in October. It is a hybrid cloud which installs its servers within a customer’s data center to best fit corporate needs. NAVER plans to optimize it for HyperCLOVA X to offer a hyperscale AI technical solution with exceptional security.
