NAVER Cloud (CEO Park Won-ki, Kim Yoo-won) is starting to expand its influence in the digital twin market in earnest as it has launched the digital twin solution ARC eye, which is applied to the “tech-convergence building” 1784.
The solution supports precise mapping and localization for vast spaces through various devices such as mapping robots (M2) and backpacks. It is distinct from other solutions as it provides integrated services ranging from core technologies, technical equipment, to cloud infrastructure as more companies and organizations are wanting to establish digital twins of living spaces such as shopping malls, airports, subway stations and skyscrapers.
ARC eye provides various services - ▲Devices and robots for mapping ▲Establishment of digital twin data ▲AI-based Visual Localization API ▲Tools to produce a 2D map- in a fully cloud-managed mode. Every stage in building a digital twin, such as designing spatial data, processing, and API services, can be used separately based on its function. In addition, all data is supported with strong security and scalability as it is provided through NAVER Cloud, making it easy to advance into the global market.
In particular, entrepreneurs can manage their businesses stably by saving and processing large-scale data based on the cloud. For example, when certain areas of the digital twin need to be upgraded or changed, only the necessary parts can be selected to a minimum. Also, the fees are charged based on resource usage, reducing the burden of large-scale investment in the early stages of business and allowing affordable operation.
