NAVER (CEO Choi Soo Yeon) and LINE NEXT (CEO Ko Young Su) officially launched NOW.Drops, which is a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) service that utilizes NOW content.
NOW.Drops is a service that allows users to publish NFT and store the valuable moments of artists in the content provided by NOW, Naver's streaming service. You can meet NOW.Drops at the “AVA” store, an entertainment NFT service of LINE NEXT's global NFT platform, DOSI.
You can enjoy the artist’s performance videos and behind-the-scenes videos only on NOW, and users can store their favorite videos in the “crystal”. Crystal is a means to purchase NFTs and a place where videos issued by NFTs are stored. There are also events where users who have purchased crystals can vote for the comeback support banner and phrase.
Users unfamiliar with NFT can easily issue and trade artists’ NFT. Access to NFT transactions is much higher as you can easily log in to the NFT wallet ‘DOSI Wallet’ through your social media account and easily pay with Naver Pay (domestic) and credit/debit cards (overseas). LINE NEXT plans to launch an AVA market in the future to support users to trade their crystals with each other.
NMIXX, the first artist of NOW.Drops started their comeback schedule, starting with a showcase exclusively released on NOW on 19 and also appeared on the NOW original show 'NEXTREND' on 20. Users can purchase the comeback showcase stage, backstage video, and NEXTREND's unreleased video from NOW.Drops until the 28th. On the 5th, before the content was officially released, NOW.Drops held an 'airdrop' event in which crystals were given out through a lucky draw so that users could hold NMIXX's NFTs for free for 8 days. The event was so well received that more than 10,000 users applied for the airdrop event.
