Team NAVER bolsters its partnership with LX to advance the digital twin platform project in Saudi Arabia, which was announced in October.
NAVER CLOUD (CEO Kim Yu-won) and LX (CEO Eo Myoung-so) signed an MOU to facilitate the development of digital twin platforms in key Saudi Arabian cities on December 15 at the NAVER 1784 building in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do.
After signing an MOU with the Saudi Arabian IoT · smart city technology firm ‘iot squared’ on December 7, Team NAVER is expanding its partnerships both locally and globally, establishing a cooperative base for related business ventures. This latest agreement specifies the July MOU on developing overseas digital twin projects between NAVER CLOUD, NAVER LABS, and LX, focused on the mutual leveraging of each entity’s unique strengths.
NAVER CLOUD and LX are merging their unique technologies and expertise to facilitate the swift and efficient construction and operation of Team NAVER’s digital twin platforms in Saudi Arabia. Currently, NAVER CLOUD and NAVER LABS are involved in multiple digital twin projects both within Korea and abroad, leveraging their ALIKE solution. LX’s “LX Platform” provides analysis and simulation for urban and national land challenges by using 3D spatial information derived from digital twins.
LX CEO Eo Myoung-so said, “Our joint efforts will result in synergy to mark a significant achievement in the successful development of digital twins for major Saudi cities, leading to broader cooperation. We are committed to openly sharing our technology and expertise, aiming to be a beacon for exporting K-smart infrastructure globally, extending beyond the Middle East.”
NAVER CLOUD CEO Kim Yu-won commented, “The collaboration with LX, which possesses extensive expertise in land data management, is expected to enhance synergy in large-scale, national digital twin platform projects. We will establish a strong cooperative base with outstanding partners both in Korea and abroad across various sectors to ensure the success of these projects.”
