In collaboration with Samsung Electronics, NAVER CLOUD is set to commercialize technologies from NAVER’s second office building, 1784. The partnership, marked with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), aims to pioneer in shaping the business for future intelligent office building. The ceremony, held at the NAVER CLOUD office in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, featured key officials, including Kim Yu-won, CEO of NAVER CLOUD, and Kang BongKu, Vice President of Samsung Electronics and head of the Korea B2B Integrated Offering Office.
Under the MOU, NAVER CLOUD will initiate external sales of various technologies and solutions incorporated in NAVER 1784, including AI, digital twins, and robotics. Launched last year, 1784 stands as the world’s first robot-friendly building, embodying the concept of a “tech convergence building.” In addition to being a workplace for NAVER employees, 1784 functions as a technology testbed for advanced technologies developed and accumulated by Team NAVER, including robotics, autonomous driving, e-Um 5G, and cloud.
This collaboration follows Team NAVER’s success in securing a national-level digital twin platform construction project from Saudi Arabian Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH). This marks a strategic move toward global technology exports through a collaborative effort with Samsung Electronics.
Samsung Electronics is focused on implementing the concept of “Calm-Tech”, a smart approach to integrating all devices in office buildings with internal and external solutions · services to manage them efficiently. The company plans to unveil B2B package products, combinng Samsung’s advanced technologies like 5G, SmartThings – a platform that links various products - with Team NAVER’s unique solutions which are applied in NAVER 1784.

Initial deployment in domestic office buildings will be followed by a gradual extension to clients worldwide.
Kim Yu-won, CEO of NAVER CLOUD stated, “The digital twin export deal with Saudi Arabia reflects significant domestic and global interest in Team NAVER’s technologies. By partnering with Samsung Electronics, we aim to pioneer the export of intelligent office building solutions, starting with the domestic market and expanding globally.”
