CAKE Launches “Chat with an Influencer AI” Service
- With a customized AI chat service for English conversation, you can learn English through text and voice interactions with your favorite influencer

As hyperscale AI technologies evolve, new approaches to English education are garnering increased attention. CAKE, a platform delivering dynamic and engaging English/Korean educational content daily through video content, is at the forefront of introducing a distinctive language learning method inspired by this technological advancement.
CAKE (CEO Lee Chung-hee), an edtech subsidiary of SNOW (CEO Kim Chang-wook), announced the launch of a new service, “Chat with an Influencer AI.” Powered by generative AI, the service enables users to converse directly with influencers in English, learning real-life English.
This AI chat service allows users to study English at their convenience as if chatting with an influencer friend. The service supports not only text conversations but voice interactions as well. Expressions that are difficult to convey in English can be communicated in Korean, which the system automatically translates to English.
To further enhance the learning process, users will receive a report containing corrections for misused expressions from their conversations the following day. Moreover, the service is affordable, priced at KRW 9,900 for a 14-day subscription.
CAKE highlighted that its most significant difference from existing AI chat services is using influencers’ voice recordings to train the AI for more natural interactions. Additionally, the service limits conversations to topics preapproved by the influencers, eliminating the risk of potential discussions about personal or inappropriate subjects.
In August, CAKE introduced AI “Gina,” which has communicated useful English expressions to many users through the CAKE app and its official SNS channels. AI “Nadine,” a famous YouTuber and a star from Netflix’s “Single’s Inferno,” was launched in September. Looking ahead, in October, CAKE will unveil AI “Oliver Ssam,” inspired by another popular YouTuber.
Lee Chung-hee, CAKE’s CEO, commented, “As a foreign language–focused edtech company, CAKE aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies to provide the most enjoyable and efficient language learning experiences. Previously, CAKE users could have fun learning English and Korean through mediums like K-pop, movies, and TV dramas. Today, we’ve broadened our approach, enabling users to learn English by conversing with their favorite influencers.”
The language learning app CAKE, launched by SNOW in 2018, was spun off in 2020. Daily updates of English-based content support enjoyable language learning experiences, securing a broad user base and surpassing 100 million downloads.
Since last December, CAKE has introduced features to facilitate learning Korean in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai, gaining interest from users across Asia, North and South Americas, Europe and the Middle East who want to learn Korean in a more engaging way.
